Scythe Mastery VS Mysticism
This was originally going to be a thread asking for advice, but I think it would serve a better purpose if it were made into a discussion thread. I've had a dervish for over 50 months but he only has 100 play hours. I never really "played" him, I merely got him to lvl 20, bought elite armor & didn't use him much more than that.
With the Dervish buff coming soon, I decided to make a new Dervish about a week ago. I got him Legendary survivor in 1 day play time [lol >.>] & shortly afterward, the buff came out. After playing him for a few days now, I really do like the Dervish class a lot better & decided I'd buy him my 3rd obby set.
However, a question came up in my head - what type of hood to get?
Normally I would go with scythe mastery, but with the new mysticism, I'm not sure anymore.
Scythe mastery = more damage
Mysticism = better energy management & better armor
Obviously there are more benefits than that, but that's the basic. So, I'm asking all of you now.
Which do you think is more important - Scythe Mastery, or Mysticism?

I think you'd be better off going for Scythe Mastery - sure, Mysticism is good but you want to be able to do maximum damage with your primary weapon. With runes you can get a nice 14,10,10 spread and with some of the Dervish's new skills you should be fine with energy.

You don't need the hood for HoM. I'd wait for the update to be finalized.
Mysticism is probably advisable right now, although Scythe mastery will always be a safe bet. +1 to scythe nets you a few damage on skills at best. Most of the broken stuff is Mysticism based: Pious Renewal, Avatar of Lyssa, Avatar of Dwayna. Jury is still out on Vow of Strength and Onslaught.
+1 Scythe mastery gives more base damage and for certain skills 13 vs 14 has a difference.
Chilling Victory: +1, +2 cold
Crippling sweep: +2 damage
Crippling Victory: +1s cripple, +2 earth
Farmer's scythe: +1 damage
Irresistible sweep: +1, +1 = +2 total
Pious assault: 2 damage
Radiant scythe: +27 vs +28, +1 energy
Reap Impurities: +1, 2 damage
Reaper's Sweep: 1s cripple
Rending sweep: 1 damage
Twin moon: +2,+4 health
Victorious sweep: +2,+4health
Wearying strike: 1s deep wound
Wounding strike: +1, 1s on both conditions
Zealous sweep: 1 damage

I don't care for the HoM point, as I said before, I already have 2 obby sets, this will be my fourth. I just like the way it looks .
Thanks for the list, it helps a lot. I think I was going to go with Scythe Mastery anyway. Here's another point though, would you all recommend a +1, or a +2-3 rune? [On whatever headpiece attribute I choose]

+2. The -75HP on +3 is too harsh, but -35 HP's livable, IMHO. And, as pointed out earlier, 14 tends to be a breakpoint in many skills, usually giving you more effect for that point than earlier points each did...

Scythe, easily. You only ever really need 10(/11 with a +1 rune) in mysticism.

Mysticism is awesome, awesome, awesome. I almost never run out of energy now. But, 9-11 is usually enough, and it lets me to invest into a third attritube if I need it.

Okay, sweet. So I'm thinking:
+1 Scythe mastery hood
+2 scythe mastery rune
+1 mysticism rune

Mysticism to abuse forms + enchant spam
Earth to abuse VoS + Sand Shards
Scythe if you are running anything else. But note that 'anything else' is most likely weaker than the above two.

another way of asking it : which one is your highest? wether you need the point of not. if you don't need it, juste drop it and gain 2 lvl in another stat.
Personnally, I'd go for mysticism, but I didn,t really playe with high lvl derv.
